Excited!
This would be me and babylove's 5th time overseas!
First would be to Kuantan, then to Tioman, then Malaysia, then to HongKong, and now Taiwan!
stayed over at his place the night before ,as usual, when I am heading overseas with him the next day.
We booked Tiger airways. I felt that if we were taking short haul flights, I figured, the money could be saved on shopping instead.
Met up with the rest at airport, ate nasi lemak from the budget terminal food stand. please just eat macs next time.
I personally did not enjoy the food.

a tip for those going to taiwan in the near future,
There are bus hiring booths available at the arrival hall of the Taipei Airport.
You may just buy a ticket, one or two ways, and off they send you to the bus for departure.
Our bus did not exactly drop us at our hotel, but it was only a 2 mins walk away.
You may save on cab fare or private bus hires.
This is a much more inexpensive way of traveling to your hotel from the airport. 
we stayed at Wonstar Hotel located at the edge of Ximending itself.
which was 1 mins walk away! which was convenient.
which was AWESOME!

I would rate it 4/5 for a simple hotel, and for the pricing which we paid.

we were lucky to get a balcony too! and the picture does not differ from the room as well.
I would say the picture is 85-95% somewhat the current status of the room.
It was clean and relatively new as well.
Changed and went to catch some dinner at Ximending itself.

Most of the ru rou fan stalls in Ximending are somewhat like the picture below.
it isnt a fancy restaurant. and its very cheap!
Headed over to a night market after "dinner".
